Erma Earlene (Eaker) Huddleston

Erma Earlene (Eaker) Huddleston, age 98 of Saint Jo, Texas, is rejoicing with the Lord. Earlene was born on August 27, 1919, in O’Donnel, TX to Mike and Lilly Eaker and entered her heavenly home on April 29, 2018, with her daughter and loving friends by her side. Earlene was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert “Ebb” Marion Huddleston, three daughters; Patsy Gayle Brewer, Joann Huddleston, and Peggy Gentry, son-in-law, Bob Gentry, beloved granddaughter, Marion Hancock, five loving sisters and her mother and father. She is survived by her daughter, Penny Yarbro, of Nocona, who faithfully stood by her side providing love and care; grandsons: Larry Gentry of Wichita Falls, Jeff Terry of Kirbyville, John Hancock of Nocona; granddaughter, Tammy and husband, Kyle Robertson of Lucas; eight great-grandchildren: Amy and husband, Cody Likins, Brandy and husband, Alo Contreras, Jill and husband, Royce Cartwright, Courtney and husband, Jimmy Copeland, Beth and husband, Jessie Brashear, Kyli Robertson, Kelsi Terry, Braden Terry; and ten great-great grandchildren: Brady, Marley, Vanson, Katie, Cason, Cody, Jolie, Jagger, Kynlee, and Truitt. She is also survived by many others who are considered family: Sonia Wallace, Cheryl Jean Reed, Amy Hancock, Nancy Reed, Lee Ann Cervantas, and Trista Martin – we love you and thank you for your love and support, you are our family. Earlene was a devoted member of Saint Jo Church of Christ. She retired from Russell Newman Garment Factory in Saint Jo as a seamstress and supervisor. Her hobbies included gardening, collecting dolls and spending time with her family and friends. She always welcomed visitors and opened her home to everyone. Earlene was the heart and soul of her family, not to just those who were related to her by blood. She considered everyone she met to be family, and treated them as if they were. Earlene, also known as “Mother” and “Nanny” is now walking on streets of gold rejoicing with the Lord and the family members who have gone before her. She will be remembered on this earth for her unconditional love, her fun uplifting spirit, her love for the Lord, and most of all her deep love and genuine care for people. The family will be accepting visitors from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Scott Funeral Home in Saint Jo. Services will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Scott Funeral Chapel in Saint Jo. Burial will follow in Mountain Park Cemetery. Pallbearers are: grandsons and great grandsons: Larry Gentry, John Hancock, Jeff Terry, Cody Likins, Alo Contreras, Royce Cartwright, Jimmy Copeland, Jessie Brashear, and Kyle Robertson. Services are under the direction of Scott Funeral Home in Saint Jo. A special thanks to Grace Care Center in Nocona for all of your love and care during Earlene’s residence.
