Isabel "Sis" (Schmitz) Klement

Mass of Christian Burial for Isabel “Sis” (Schmitz) Klement, age 92 of Muenster, was held at 10:30 AM, Monday, September 4, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muenster with Father Ken Robinson officiating. Burial followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Rosary and Vigil was held at 6:00 PM, Sunday, September 3, 2017 also at the church. Arrangements were entrusted to Scott Funeral Home in Muenster. Pallbearers were: Chris Danglemayr, Darren Klement, Brian “Bubba” Klement, Adam Bayer, Coy Fisher, Jeannene Bayer, Kimberly Charles, James Klement, Trevor Muller, Jonathan Otto, Dalana Chism, Sydney Huchton, and Kyle Klement. Mrs. Klement passed away Friday, September 1, 2017. Isabel “Sis” Marie (Schmitz) Klement was born January 14, 1925 in Lindsay, Texas to Theodore H. and Pauline (Leorwald) Schmitz. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to all she knew. She was a homemaker that enjoyed gardening with her husband, baking and canning, sewing, and feeding “her red birds.” She was also proud of her blue bonnets, helping her become Yard of the Month for April 2017. She also enjoyed collecting bells and family photos. She was born in Lindsay, Texas, attended Saint Peter’s Church, and later graduated from Lindsay High school in 1942. Sis married Anthony “Tony” Joseph Klement on August 19, 1943, and then became the mother of fifteen. She has been a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church after moving to Muenster. She also was a lifetime member of the Saint Ann’s Society and VFW auxiliary. Sis is survived by her daughters: Patsy and Paul Dangelmayr of Muenster, Joyce Bayer of Muenster, Janet and Willie Fisher of Muenster, Alice Walterscheid of Muenster, Diane and Dave Muller of Muenster, Darlene and Don Abney of Saint Jo, Marlene and Giles Walterscheid of Moss Lake, and Peachie and Neil Huchton of Muenster; sons: Ruth Klement (wife of Pat) of Muenster, Robert F. Klement of Muenster , Roy and Carol Klement of Muenster, Steve and Dianna Klement of Muenster, Kevin Klement of Muenster, and Gary Don Klement and life partner Charles Cummings of Gainesville; forty-three grandchildren, eighty-eight great-grandchildren; and five great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Anthony Joseph Klement, parents, Theodore H. and Pauline (Leorwald) Schmitz, sons: Patrick “Pat” Anthony Klement and James “Jim” Eugene Klement; sons-in-law: Kenny Walterscheid and Tom Bayer; sister, Louise (Schmitz) Horn, brothers: Lawrence “Bigun” Schmitz, Francis “Cotton” Schmitz, Edgar “Pat” Schmitz, Eugene “Beans” Schmitz, Harold “Runt” Schmitz; and granddaughter, Stephanie Huchton. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Muenster Volunteer Fire Department, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, or Muenster Jaycees.
