Janet Sue (Klement) Fisher

Janet Sue (Klement) Fisher, age 66, of Muenster, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, surrounded by family and is now with the Lord. Liturgy of the Word was held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Sacred Heart Church with Father Ken Robinson officiating. Burial followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Vigil and Rosary were held at 5:30 PM on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Sacred Heart Church. Pallbearers were Jason Sprabary, Larry Garrett, Colton Steelman, Rick Call, Nathan Sicking, Daniel Fuhrmann, and Chris Cash. Honorary pallbearers were Kenneth Walterscheid, Erik Walterscheid, Deano Bayer, and Bryan Kleiss. Arrangements were under the direction of Scott Funeral Home in Muenster. Janet was born on August 8, 1951, in Muenster, Texas, to Tony and Sis Klement. She was one of 15 children. She attended Sacred Heart School through 10th grade and graduated from Muenster Public School in 1969. Janet was a member of Sacred Heart parish as well as Catholic Daughters of America. She married William Fisher on November 22, 1969, and they had three children, Lanette, Melissa, and Coy. Lanette and Reuben Frost have three children, Ben, Lydia, and Sophia. Melissa and Cecil Cheshier have 4 children, Ava, Aaron, Andrew, and Audrey. Coy and Ashley Fisher have two children, Lynzie and Reese. She dearly loved each of her 9 grandkids. Janet is survived by her husband Willie Fisher of Muenster, her daughters: Lanette (Reuben) Frost of Flower Mound and Melissa (Cecil) Cheshier of Muenster; son Coy (Ashley) Fisher of Muenster; grandchildren: Ben, Lydia, and Sophia Frost of Flower Mound, Ava, Aaron, Andrew, and Audrey Cheshier of Muenster, and Lynzie and Reese Fisher of Muenster; sisters: Patsy (Paul) Dangelmayr of Muenster, Joyce Bayer of Muenster, Alice Walterscheid of Muenster, Diane (Dave) Muller of Muenster, Darlene (Don) Abney of Saint Jo, Marlene (Giles) Walterscheid of Moss Lake, and Peachie (Neil) Huchton of Muenster; brothers: Robert Klement of Muenster, Steve (Diana) Klement of Muenster, Kevin Klement of Muenster, and Gary Don Klement (Charles Cummings) of Gainesville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Isabel (Schmitz) Klement, her in-laws, Paul and Dorothy (Kathman) Fisher; brothers: Jimmy Klement, Pat Klement, and Roy Klement; brothers-in-law: Tom Bayer, Kenny Walterscheid, and Steve Lev; niece Stephanie Huchton, and nephew Leslie Hess. Janet lived a full life and loved to keep her hands busy. She devoted all of her heart to every job she set her mind to, including working cold, early mornings milking cows, babysitting her many nieces and nephews, and co-owning Bouquets and Gifts flower shop for over 10 years with her sisters Patsy and Darlene. She also helped Patsy in her wallpapering business. Janet was an avid seamstress who spent years sewing her daughters’ dresses and also worked at Frybrant alongside her sister Alice as an inspector. She was employed at Superior Machining for over 10 years until 2013 when she had a stroke. Even after, Janet would still come out to Superior frequently to visit her co-workers and hug and remind them how special they were to her. She had a giant heart to serve others in her spare time, and loved being a volunteer and cooking for all the benefits for CASA and Meals on Wheels. Janet was a generous person. Her love language was gifts. She always remembered everyone’s birthdays and had a special ability to find just the perfect gift for each person. She spoiled her grandkids with clothes, candy, games, and kites every Easter. She especially loved Christmas. When her kids were little, Janet would hide all the gifts at the flower shop because she loved to see the surprise on all their faces when they unwrapped them. Janet also found anonymous ways to help others, including her co-workers, when they were experiencing hard times, and she never wanted credit for all the many times she reached out to help others. Janet absolutely loved people. She had a big heart, a beautiful, bright smile, and was always quick to laugh and have a good time. Janet especially enjoyed all her friends and family at the lake camping as well as shooting the breeze at “The W.” She never left a campsite or a party without making new friends. Many of the cross stitches that she sewed for years, like the Last Supper, the Footprints poem, the Klement Family tree, as well as pictures for weddings and birthdays, still hang on the walls of many family members Janet loved. Janet was an amazing cook who rarely used a recipe, just “a little of this, and a little of that,” she would say. We will all miss her wonderful cooking, especially her Thanksgiving dressing. She never minded making extra for anyone who requested it. She was known all over town for her potato salad, her popcorn balls, pumpkin rolls, cinnamon rolls, along with many other treats. Her kids’ personal favorites that she made were okra gumbo, backbone sauerkraut, chicken noodle soup, cooked cabbage, “stuff”, liver and onions, and her hobos. Janet also enjoyed canning picante sauce and tomato juice. Janet was a smart cookie. She had the best practical tips for just about any situation, like “flipping babies” so they would get their days and nights straight. She would often tell people “Sit Down” when they visited and everyone needed to “Be Nice!” Janet had a positive attitude on life and always wanted people to be “happy, happy, happy.” Even in the hardest of times, she was never a complainer. Being a Klement, she was a doer and a fixer. Janet managed to be prepared for everything and seemed to always have an extra of anything for anyone in need, just in case. Janet was the biggest Randy Rogers Band fan, and she and her sisters and nieces attended just as many of their concerts as they could to support them. She also loved spending time at the casinos with her siblings and sisters and brothers-in-law. They made a lot of memories on their numerous trips to Colorado, Alabama, Shreveport, New Mexico, and Oklahoma, where they shared countless stories and tons of laughs along the way. Their last siblings’ trip to Shreveport just 3 weeks ago will be a lasting memory that Janet’s sisters and brother will treasure forever. Janet, Grandma, “Noodles”, “Sister”, “Nutz” Fisher was loved dearly by all who were blessed to know her. We know she’s “Good, Good, Good,” but we will deeply miss her more than words can say. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Muenster Volunteer Fire Department, the Muenster Jaycees, or the Catholic Daughters of America #249 in Muenster.
