Jennifer Caitlin (Currans) Connell

Jennifer Caitlin (Currans) Connell, 38, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at her home in Muenster, Texas. Our beloved daughter, mother, niece, cousin and friend is no longer bound by earthly constraints. Loved by all who had the grace to meet her, Jennifer was a strong, spirited and caring young woman, known for her sharp wit and amazing cooking. Jennifer was born June 20th, 1984 in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Desoto High School in 2002. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of North Texas and then graduated from Texas Wesleyan (now Texas A&M) School of Law. Jennifer’s exceedingly compassionate heart fueled her enthusiasm for helping those in need. Her intelligence and keen sense of what is just and right led Jennifer to a career as a defender and Attorney with Legal Aid of Northwest Texas. Jennifer’s love of life and nature was perhaps no better exemplified by her caring lifelong love of animals and many rescued pets. Her heavenly spirit now joins family and friends that have previously passed in watching over us; grandparents Mack and Lynn Martin, of Dallas, Texas, Patricia McCoy of Arlington, Texas, and Mac McCoy of Saint Jo, Texas. Jennifer was an exceptionally loving and devoted mother of two, Clara and Maxwell Connell, and daughter of heartbroken yet proud parents; mother Linda Currans of Saint Jo, Texas, her father and stepmother Kevin and Jan Currans of Fort Worth, Texas; her best friend and honorary sister Yesika Horton of Denton, Texas; her closest aunt Karen “Aunt Mama” and uncle Hugh Hillebrand of Saint Jo, Texas; and cousins by blood, sisters by heart Haley Hillebrand (Wiley Lindsey) and Katie Hillebrand (Josh Dodge). Jennifer is also survived by her loving aunts and uncles, Peggy and James Thomas of Morgan, Texas; Mike McCoy and Mike Shaw of Farmer’s Branch, Texas; Dennis McCoy of Sherman, Texas; Katherine McCoy of Arlington, Texas; Lori Currans of Arlington, Texas and Dennis Currans of St. Louis, Missouri. As well, she will be forever missed by her cousins Jessica Russell (Mitchell Russell) of Midlothian, Texas and Mathew McCoy of Denison, Texas. her uncles, aunts and cousins from the Scoggins family in Sherman loved Jennifer as one of their own. Jennifer’s capacity for love, loyalty, dedication, humor and encouragement created enduring and blessed lifelong friendships; too numerous to list. Jennifer’s family wants to recognize the special friendship that Jennifer enjoyed with Thomas Carlson in the months before her passing. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Saint Jo, Texas, with burial to follow at the M.J. McCoy Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Saint Jo. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Legal Aid of Northwest Texas.
