Carl Elmer VonRee

Carl Elmer vonRee was born on September 14, 1937 in Peabody, Texas to Carl vonRee and Alice Dunn. Carl married Sue Dennis on May 3, 1958 in Saint Jo, Texas. Carl was an Air Force Veteran, serving from 1958 until 1964 at Biggs Air Force Base in El Paso, Texas. After Carl discharged from the Air Force, along with his family, opened his own commercial printing shop that he ran until his retirement. Carl loved the ranching way of life. He enjoyed the outdoors and would spend most days hunting or fishing. The greatest joy in Carl’s life was his family. He spent countless hours with his grandsons watching football and building projects. Mr. vonRee passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018. Memorial service to be scheduled for a later date. Carl is survived by his wife Sue; sons: Eric and Cindy vonRee of Saint Jo, and Kirk vonRee of Saint Jo; grandchildren: Dusty and Lindsey vonRee, Garrett vonRee and Bodie vonRee; 3 great grandchildren; sisters: Dixie Stapleton of Fort Worth, Donna Shannon of Kilgore, Karen and Karl Lee of Arkansas, Sandy and Steve Curry of Oklahoma; and brothers: Mike and Susan vonRee of Arkansas and Tony vonRee of Colorado.
