Noble Edwin Coker

September 1, 1931 - February 4, 2022

Noble Edwin Coker, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away on February 4, 2022 in Plano at the age of 90. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Coker Cemetery in Bulcher with Mr. Jim Coker officiating. Noble was born to J.B. ‘Bailey’ and Edith Jane (Reed) Coker on September 13, 1931 in Bonita, Texas. He lived most of his life in the Saint Jo area. Noble was a true cowboy, he worked on the family farm all of his early years. While driving trucks for Norbert Flusche and working Rodeos with/for Adrian Parker, he met and married Nancy Miller. Together they had a son, Noble Franklin ‘Sonny’ Coker. In 1978, Noble married Corinne Qualls. They were a devoted couple until her death on November 3, 2015. He spent his elder years raising cattle and working at the Muenster Sale Barn. Noble is survived by daughters: Stacy Gaston of Saint Jo, Shelta and husband Jim Ivins of Tennessee, and Sherri and husband Tony Phillips of Grand Saline; son: Noble ‘Sonny’ and wife Elli Coker stationed in Saudi Arabia, and Steven and wife Terry Qualls; sisters: Ruth and husband Jerry Sobeczek of Bowie, and Jeanne Bell of Saint Jo; and brother: Weldon and wife June Coker of Herndon, VA, Grandchildren: Tiare, Leilanie, Noble, Kendell, Jacob, Michael, Kamron, Jesse, Ashley, Matthew, Kevin, Jared, Arisa, and Kaili; 15 great grandchildren; brother-in-law: Jim Davis; and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Bailey and Edith Coker; wife: Corinne Coker; sisters: Anna Lou Davis and Genevieve Coker; brothers: James Marion Coker, Joe Bailey Coker, Jr., and Jackie Dale ‘Jack’ Coker; grandson: Billy Ivins; sister-in-law: Bonnie Morrison; and nephew: Wayne Coker.
