Mass of Christian Burial for Brian Patrick Grewing will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 216 E 6th Street Muenster, Texas 76252. His ashes will then be laid to rest between his parents at Sacred Heart Cemetery. A meal will follow at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Community Center at 730 N Main Street Muenster, Texas 76252. A Memorial Rosary and Vigil will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Scott Funeral Home in Muenster at 310 N Walnut Street Muenster, Texas 76252. Brian passed away on May 25, 2024. Brian Patrick Grewing was born on August 8th, 1962 in Muenster, Texas to Walter Joseph and Carol Ann (Klein) Grewing. He went to school at Sacred Heart for 12 years in Muenster Texas after which he went to cosmetology school in Gainesville, Texas at Cooke County College and later finished in Dallas. He worked in Denton, Dallas and Addison through the years. Many of his first clients continued to use Brian even to this day. He took pride in charging those lifelong clients the same price that he charged them at the beginning. When people would ask Brian what they could get him as a gift he would usually reply the same to everybody, hand blown glass ornaments. Brian loved to hang the ornaments from the ceiling in his salon. Brian was a dog lover and was always spoiling them rotten. Calvin and Bailey were his two dogs that meant more to him than even Brian could put into words. Music and Movies were a few of his favorite things to do. He could hear a song and tell you exactly who the artist was and when the song came out. The same went for movies. He loved to serve and worship God with all his heart which was evident with his participation in the Church Choir at Unity Church, Cathedral of Hope and the Cathedral of Light. He later became a Deacon at Cathedral of Light in Farmers Branch in 2016. Brian was an avid reader, especially researching worship, spiritual healing and homeopathic medicines. Beating non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma the holistic way. One of Brian's favorite things to do was to cook and fellowship with his friends and family. He really cherished his Friday night dinner club get togethers at his apartment. His favorite color was purple, anything purple. One thing about Brian was you could always count on a good morning post on social media to get you ready and going for the day. Brian is survived by his sister: Mildred Grewing Maxwell; Chase Landon Adam Maxwell & his wife Erin Caroline Maxwell; grandnephew: Hunter Bradley Maxwell; grandniece: Zia Aurora Rock; and numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Carol Grewing; and brothers: Curtis Elroy Grewing and Robert Walter Grewing.
