Gloria June (Shields) Dickerman

Graveside service for Mrs. Gloria June (Shields) Dickerman, age 92, of Nocona will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville. Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 PM on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Scott Funeral Home in Saint Jo. Mrs. Dickerman passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. June was born on March 5, 1928 in Bulcher, Tx to Jesse M. and Frankye Burks Shields. Attended school in Bulcher and Saint Jo graduating from Saint Jo where she was a member of volleyball team. Attended business school in Gainesville where she met and married Charles F. Dickerman. June spent many years as a homemaker before going to work for the Army and Air Force Exchange at Fort Hood, Texas. After retiring, June moved back to Saint Jo where she lived until her health required her to move to Nocona for assisted living. June was always active in the communities she lived in. She served as President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Electra, Tx, a member of the Electra PTA while her husband taught, member of the Fort Hood Exchange Bowling league in Killeen, TX, member of the Gatesville Chapter and Saint Jo chapter of Eastern Star, and a member of the Saint Jo Rodeo Club. June was also a member of the First Methodist Church of Saint Jo. June stayed in contact with the members of her graduating class, meeting once a month to play cards, games or enjoy a meal at the local Dairy Queen until moving to Nocona. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles F. Dickerman; twin brothers, Ronald Dean Shields and Donald Gene Shields; and two grandsons; Kevin Mercer and Jonathan Cleveland. Survived by her son; Charles R. Dickerman & wife Debby of Parrish, FL.; daughters; Gloria Bailey & husband Glen of Fort Worth, Tx; Donna Lewis & husband Kevin of Gatesville, Tx; and Debbie Cleveland & husband Malcolm of Austin, Tx. 10 grandchildren; Nikki Jackson & husband Kelvin, Allison Joblin & husband Jason, Scott Lewis, Michael Lewis, Gregg Lewis & wife Tiffany, Charles J. Dickerman, Dan Dickerman & wife Sandra, John Dickerman & wife Tammy, Everett Cleveland & wife Joanna and Jennifer Cleveland. 17 great children; Madison LePori, Macie LePori, Bailey Joblin, Tyler Joblin, Chelsea Lewis, Baylee Lewis, Gracie Lewis, Dustin Matthew Lewis, Makenzy Lewis, Myranda Lewis, Austin Lewis, Liam Lewis, Bradley Dickerman, Trevor Dickerman, Tyler Dickerman, Lilianne Dickerman and Bryony Dickerman.
