Wynema 'Sissy' Jewel (Graham) Thweatt

Graveside Services for Wynema Jewel Thweatt, “Sissy”, age 72, of Capps Corner will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday September 6, 2021at the Center Point Cemetery in Saint Jo, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Scott Funeral Home in Saint Jo, Texas. Pallbearers will be Bryan Nance, Eric Dennis, Jon Smith, Lance Scruggs, Ross Cullum, and Mark Childers. Officiating the service will be Mr. Joe Caballeros. Sissy was born on April 23,1949 in Memphis, Texas to Lester and Ruby Graham. She graduated from Memphis High School in 1967. She later attended real estate school at Leonard Hawes Real Estate School. Sissy married Jerry Thweatt on December 31, 1983 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sissy and Jerry had five children: Heath Spruill, Dee Cullum, Jodi George, Mickie Jo MaGouirk, and Justin Thweatt; Daughter in Law Janna Spruill, and two Son in Laws Jim George and Jay MaGouirk; 10 grandchildren: Colt, Tyler, Laken, Cede, Coby, Ian, Tate, Jarred, Talon, and Sloane; as well as three great grandchildren: Kimber, Korrigan, and Jansen. Sissy loved hunting and fishing, travelling, shopping, dancing, and whatever her children/grandchildren were involved in. She also enjoyed cooking Sunday lunch for her family as she thought it was a way to keep them together; she loved her family more than anything. She took in many of her children/ grandchildrens’ friends, made them feel like family and made sure no one ever went hungry while she was around. Sissy spent her life being a jack of all trades of sorts, there wasn't much that she couldn't fix or do on her own; she worked for Burlington Northern Railroad in Childress, sold real estate in the Montague County area and owned a flower shop in several locations such as Saint Jo, Gainesville, and Memphis for many years where she met many friends and created some of the most beautiful arrangements. Wynema Thweatt passed away on September 2, 2021in Nocona, Texas. She is survived by her husband: Jerry Thweatt; children: Dee Cullum of Bowie, Jodi and husband Jim George of Decatur, Mickie Jo and husband Jay MaGouirk of Callisburg, and Justin Thweatt and girlfriend Rachael Cook of Muenster. Daughter in law: Janna Spruill of Saint Jo. Sissy is also survived by grandchildren: Colt and Tatum Spruill, Tyler Spruill, Laken Cullum, Cede Brewer, Coby Brewer, Ian George, Tate Blount, Jarred MaGouirk, Talon Blount, and Sloane MaGouirk; great grandchildren: Kimber, Korrigan, and Jansen Spruill. Sissy was preceded in death by her son:Heath Spruill; parents: Lester and Ruby Graham; as well as Mother and Father-in-Law: Mack and Mary Thweatt.
